Sept. 21 Public Meeting for the U.S. 400 Bridge Replacements in Kiowa County

KDOT hosted an open house-style public meeting to share information about the U.S. 400 Bridge Replacements project east of Mullinville. The meeting was held Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Mullinville Rec Gym (200 S. Main Street). The public could stop by any time between 5:30 and 7 p.m. to view preliminary plans and speak with project staff. This project is currently in the preliminary design phase. There was no formal presentation.

Sept. 26 Public Meeting for the I-135 and SE 36th Street Interchange Reconstruction Project

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is hosting an open house style public meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Trail Room at the Chisholm Trail Center (601 SE 36th Street). The public is invited to stop by any time between 4–6 p.m. to view details of the proposed improvements, speak with project staff and provide comments. There will be no formal presentation.

Aug. 31 Public Meeting for U.S. 54 Bridge (025) over the Walnut River

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) hosted a public meeting on Aug. 31, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the El Dorado Civic Center (201 E Central Ave, El Dorado, KS 67042). The public was invited to stop by between 4–7 p.m. to review project information. A formal presentation began at 5:30 p.m. KDOT and project team staff was on hand to answer questions.

Feb. 2 Public Meeting for K-96 Improvements Project

The K-96 Improvements Project team hosted a public meeting for the K-96 Improvements Project in Sedgwick County from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2 at the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT), WSU Tech, (4004 N. Webb Road Wichita, KS 67226). The public was invited to attend the open house style meeting any time between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. to review proposed project details and speak with project staff. A formal presentation began at 6:00 p.m.

Dec. 13 Public Meeting for U.S. 77 Pavement Replacement Arkansas City to Winfield in Cowley County

KDOT hosted a public meeting for the U.S. 77 pavement preservation project in Cowley County on Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Strother Field Terminal Building (22193 Tupper Street, Winfield). The public was invited to attend the open house style meeting any time between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. to review proposed project details and speak with project staff. Meeting information is available online for review and the public was invited to comment until Dec. 30.

September 13 Public Meeting for U.S. 54/East Kellogg Corridor Improvements

KDOT is hosting an open house-style public meeting about improvements to East Kellogg in Wichita and Andover. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 13, at the Sunflower Elementary School Gym (616 E. Douglas). The public is welcome to stop by anytime between between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. to talk with the project team, review more detailed designs for Phase 1 and Phase 2 proposed improvements, provide feedback and see the project timeline. No formal presentation will be given at the meeting.

September 15 Public Meeting for U.S. 56 Expansion Study east of Great Bend

KDOT hosted an open house-style public meeting to discuss proposed plans to expand about 2 miles of U.S. 56 to a four-lane expressway - from the east city limits of Great Bend to the K-156 intersection in Barton County. Proposed improvements to the K-156 intersection will also be shared. The meeting was held on Thursday, September 15, at the Great Bend Events Center. The public was welcome to stop by any time between 4 and 6 p.m. to view information and speak with project staff. No formal presentations was made. Unable to attend? For those unable to attend on September 15, meeting materials are on the project website. The information shared online is the same information presented at the public meeting.
